Elle Uses Beacon Technology To Drive Foot Traffic

It seems everything is done online these days. Socializing, games, and shopping, just to name a few. While companies are making major profits off of online shopping, there is really no replacement for getting customers in the store. Elle knows this and is using beacon technology to get customers into physical stores to look at and buy their products.

ShopAdvisor and RetailMeNot are both apps that give their users access to deals. The users are notified when they are within a mile of a store with one of these deals. Elle is taking advantage of this. They have started notifying customers when they are within a mile of Levi’s, Vince Camuto, Barnes & Noble, or Guess. By doing this, Elle has driven 500,000 retail store visits.

Maybe more companies should be using these apps.
