Facebook Q1 results prove yet again that they are the dominating social media platform with data to support it. Despite facing skepticism for fake news, copying Snapchat and much more, Facebook users have actually grown. It has increased its daily active users and monthly active users.
While Facebook is still growing users in the US & Canada, its most lucrative markets include the Asia-Pacific markets and other parts of the world. Facebook reported in Q1 to have gained 43 million users in the Asia-Pacific market alone. The social media dominator beat analysts estimates on revenue although they suffered a loss in stock price and shares. During the call, CEO Mark Zuckerberg emphasizes Facebook’s goals to create a community, surpass competitors in visual communication and augmented reality and remain the leading social media.
