Like Me: Our Bond With Brands is a recent exhibit on display in New York City through the fourteenth of October. We have been able to surmise that its biggest statement is not the overwhelming lineage behind marketing, advertisement, and brands, but rather the way this history has shaped our world.
However, its message is much stronger than a mere history lesson. The statement brought about by Like Me is one of questioning our own relationship with brands. The compilation includes a timeline from 1 BC up to modern day and includes predictions for the future of brands and an analysis of brands today. With all of these pieces in front of us that make up the world of advertisement, it is hard to not ask ourselves how these pieces have shaped our own lives.
