First and maybe most importantly, NO ADS! A subscription to YouTube Red will free you from ads on the site. Additionally, it will give consumers access to the new version of YouTube music and original programming. This original programming will be coming from scripted shows that have been given to unscripted YouTube stars as an effort to compete with Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, and Amazon Prime. YouTube hopes that YouTube Red will be addictive enough to keep users paying.
